We love having guests stay with us - almost as much as we love going home to stay with our parents. Our Mum is always making such an effort (which never goes unnoticed) - an arrangement of freshly cut blooms from the garden, crisp white sheets and towels, a bed made to perfection (with hot water bottles in winter) and what always feels like the best pillows in the world.
We're excited to be hosting guests this weekend, so I have been doing a little bit of research on guest room essentials. These seem to be the top picks, together with a few of our favourite photos.
- Quality bedding & pillows
- Fresh towels (preferably the option of two per person)
- Fresh flowers
- Bathrobe
- Toiletries
- Water carafe and glasses (or bottles of San Pellegrino sparkling mineral water)
- Blanket/throw (nice to curl up with a blanket to read a book or for cooler nights)
- Scented candle (Ecoya's French Pear is an absolute favourite - you can find it here)
- Luggage rack & an assortment of coat hangers
- Alarm clock
- Pad of paper and pencil
- Guide book & reading material
- Snacks (i.e. fruit, wrapped chocolates or home baking)
Some other cute ideas found here via Martha Stewart and images via Country Living and pinterest.
